June 27th 2018 — WRGB CBS 6's Craig Gold reports live at the Ferris Coin Co. premiere of its Sgt. Henry Johnson commemorative silver medal.

Over 60 different artists submitted their coin designs to commemorate the 100th anniversary of local World War 1 Hero Henry Johnson.

But, there could only be one winner.

And that winner was Chris Costello, a US Mint Artist who hails from Boston.

On the front of the coin is Henry Johnson, in uniform, with the Argonne forest behind him.

On the back, is the Albany skyline with the sun rising. The text reads:

"Sacrifice Today for Our Community's Tomorrow" along with "Honor * Duty * Service.

"I was really capture in his portrait and in his expression kind of a living spirit. I really wanted his eyes to be gazing out and really just connect with people and help them to realize you should never forget," Costello said.
